Longines Lindbergh “Hour Angle”

Details

Stainless steel 33mm case calculator watch by Longines. This is the smaller version of the famous 47mm watch used by Lindbergh for his trip across the Atlantic Ocean, the first man to fly solo from New York to Paris, in 1927. These 33mm watches were launched by Longines in the 1930’s with 10.68Z movements. This is a successive version with the movement 10.68N (also called 12L). The present watch was invoiced on 22 December 1947 to the company Longines-Wittnauer Watch Co., the Longines agent in USA.

Overall Condition:

The watch is in fabulous conditions for its age. The inner disc rotates aswel as the bezel with its incredible blue coloured numbers, still vivid. There is an overall golden patina, or a kind of magic like Queen would sing, maybe because of the history of the watch, the years that have passed…

Dimensions:

33mm wide without crowns, 12,40mm high.

Movement:

manual winding 12L.
