Mido Powerwind “rainbow”, ref. 5907
Stainless steel monobloc case diver with multicolour (meters) decompression scale on the dial. A true unicorn by Mido among legendary diving watches from the early 1960’s, these watches had 2 dial variants: DATE or NO DATE external black ring with rectangular lume plots, silver applied logo and silver hour hand, or white external ring with golden applied logo and golden hour hand plus golden arabic numbers.
With its singular black thin baton hand, signed crown, bi-directional rotating bezel, original signed dome glass and signed long bonklip bracelet, the watch is in great conditions. There are tiny blemishes on the colour rings and small scratches on the central part of the dial but from a distance the overall impression is almost extatic. There is a sort of “light gold” patina on the whole dial and despite not being a sunburst or textured dial, it changes a lot depending on the light. The backcase engravings are still visible, a frogman diving and various serial nb and writings.
The watch comes with its original Mido signed bonklip bracelet, the original box, blank warranty and gadgets. A true Unicorn.
38mm without crown.
