ZRC Spatiale 1ère version

Details

Stainless steel 38mm case, non-screw down crown diver from the french ZRC from the 1960’s designed by frogmen and adopted by french Navy among others. This one is a rare first version with a peculiar plain steel bracelet that was then replaced by the “razor blade”.

Overall Condition:

The watch is in good condition overall, it’s a fun toolwatch to wear, the steel looks impressive and shiny, but most of all, the patina on dial and bezel is breathtaking. The blue dial is now silver grey with gold flakes, the lume is still high, and the red on the fabulous curved bezel has faded, the numbers are slightly readable but still “ghostly” there.

An oddity: the watch comes with a hyper rare ZRC box.

Movement:

self-winding PUW (Pforzheimer Uhren Werke) 1463 movement. Serviced.
