ZRC 300 Spatiale

Details

Stainless steel monocoque case with molybdenum mix,  approximately 42mm wide (excluding crown) x 50mm length. Circa 1969. These diving tool-watches were launched in 1968 and their name is an homage to the space conquest. Note the “orbital” logo and the 2 unusual date & day windows.

Overall Condition:

The watch is in almost unworn condition. The dial – originally blue – has turned into an amazing fading shining grey colour. The bezel is rotating in one direction only, as it should, and bears practically no signs of use. The beautiful dome glass has some signs due to the age. The patina on hands and indexes is uniform and tritium still glows for a while when exposed to the light. The original “razor blade” steel strap is highly comfortable.

Movement:

25 jewel PUW self-winding movement (Pforzheimer Uhren Werke) calibre 1463 working fine with an excellent power reserve.
