Aquastar Regate

Details

Stainless steel case interesting countdown watch made for sailing races in the 1960’s. The pusher starts the 5 min countdown by turning all 5 circles red. Then when the last one on the right turns grey, the boat can cross the start line! This is the first version of the Regate with the highly reliable Felsa 4000, later followed by many variations and movements like the Lemania, including some with other famous brands labels like Heuer for example, and different cases/bracelets (curious lumbster version), the “kitsch” Newport with its golden screws….

Overall Condition:

The watch is in excellent conditions for its age. The dial is bright grey, in a mint state like all the writings and the case shows little signs of the time. It keeps time very precisely and has an excellent power reserve.

The watch has its original tropic strap & Aquastar buckle.

Dimensions:

37,5 mm without the crown (signed).

Movement:

self-winding Felsa 4000.
